About this Manual
(Build 1051)
Welcome to the StableBit CloudDrive manual.
StableBit CloudDrive was designed to be simple and intuitive to use. Even without this user manual, you should be able to navigate it and make use of all of its features.
However, if something isn't clear and you do have questions about how something works, this user manual is here for you.
Throughout this user manual there are side notes, just like this one, that give you additional information about a topic. |
Side notes that show a gear are more technical in nature and may contain some technical jargon as well. If you're not interested in the more technical aspects of StableBit CloudDrive, you can simply skip these. |
CAUTION Pay special attention to these types of side notes. They typically describe important information that could affect the data on your cloud drive. |
Important considerations about security will be noted like this. |
Tips will give you some additional pointers about a topic. |
If more information is available somewhere else, we'll let you know like this. |
This manual is divided into 2 parts:
-
Understanding StableBit CloudDrive
This part begins with some general concepts that you will encounter while using StableBit CloudDrive, and ends with a complete tour of the User Interface. Information about storage providers, what a cloud drive is, the local cache, and more, are all documented here.
-
The second part of the user manual deals with actual usage scenarios, like how to create a new cloud drive, attaching and detaching existing cloud drives, destroying cloud drives, and more.
Reading the manual from top to bottom, should give you an exhaustive understanding of how StableBit CloudDrive functions and then how to use all of its features.
Some topics, such as Troubleshooting and Technical Details, are more technical in nature. It's not necessary to understand them in order to use StableBit CloudDrive, and you can skip reading them if you'd like. |
